Natural Dog De-Wormers
Pumpkin seeds and coconut oil both have a real mechanism worth knowing about — neither is a substitute for a confirmed dewormer.
Applies to Everything Below
Frame both of these as supportive/traditional measures, not proven deworming treatment — a real infestation needs a vet-confirmed dewormer, not a home remedy alone.
Pumpkin seeds
Traditional/folk anthelmintic support — cucurbitacin has some limited animal-study backing as a mild anthelmintic.
Dose
Grind raw pumpkin seeds into powder, 1 tsp per 10 lbs of body weight, for several days.
Coconut oil
General wellness support, not deworming — lauric acid's antimicrobial properties are documented in a lab dish, but 'fights parasites in a live dog' isn't veterinary-established.
Dose
Add 1/2 to 1 tsp of coconut oil or coconut flakes to food daily.
