Mullein Cough Syrup

A honey-based mullein decoction with real adult dosing — carries the same infant-honey risk as any homemade honey remedy, and depends on straining mullein's irritating leaf hairs completely.

Dosage

Adults: 1–2 teaspoons every few hours as needed.

Contraindications — Read Before Using

  • Infant botulism risk — do not ignore: Never give honey, including this syrup, to children under 1 year old — risk of infant botulism.
  • Scrophulariaceae family allergy: Same family-allergy consideration already documented on the Mullein plant-ID card — not cross-referenced in the original source recipe.
